I took a trip up to Mt. Shasta, CA earlier this week. It was amazing. Some of the most jaw-dropping open spaces I’ve ever encountered. Mt. Shasta is an active volcano which rises 10,000 feet and dominates the horizon line anywhere within 100 miles or so of the majestic mountaintop. We arrived just in time for some fresh snow, and got to spend a great day on the ski slopes of Shasta as well.
I took the trip up there with Seanan of Savvy Rest (based in Charlottesville), with the mission of visiting and photographing Savvy Rest’s organic wool manufacturer who is based up in the region, close to the southern border of Oregon. It was quite an interesting trip, and the furthest North I’ve ever been in California. I’ll post more photos of the organic wool factory soon.

Road trip up North!

I stopped by Tiny Telephone recording studio a couple days ago on my first rainy day here in San Francisco. Tiny Telephone is one of the last analog recording studios around, and also one of the coolest I’ve been to. I’ve always found inspiration from being in recording studios.

A fun past few days. These are mostly from Muir Beach, the Panhandle, and walking around San Francisco. The last shot is this band, who is playing a guerrilla street concert everyday for a year. I serendipitously caught their show du jour while waiting in line for some ice cream near Dolores Park.
